Intense nose of cassis, red berries, fynbos and rosemary. Beautiful herbal spice. On the palate it has a full body with fine tannins, complexity and high concentration. The finish is long and characterized by freshness, typical Constantia!

Constantia
The Constantia wine region is the oldest wine-growing region in South Africa and is located just 15 kilometers south of Cape Town, on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. The cool, maritime climate – influenced by its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean – and well-drained granite soils create ideal conditions for elegant wines rich in finesse. In particular, the fog that rises from False Bay in the morning and the fresh breeze in the afternoon ensure that the grapes ripen slowly and retain their natural acidity.
Constantia is world-famous for its fresh Sauvignon Blancs, but also for finely balanced Chardonnay and Bordeaux blends. A specialty of the region is the legendary Vin de Constance – a noble sweet dessert wine made from the Muscat de Frontignan grape, which was supplied to European royalty as early as the 18th century and is now an internationally recognized prestige product.

At Savinis you will find outstanding wine estates from Constantia such as Klein Constantia, Buitenverwachting or Groot Constantia – the oldest wine estate in South Africa with over 330 years of history. The wines from this region combine history, elegance and modern winemaking at the highest level.

Beau Constantia
Beau Constantia is a boutique winery high above the Constantia Valley, with spectacular views of False Bay and the surrounding vineyards. The winery is situated on the steep slopes of the Constantia Nek, where the vineyards are planted at altitudes of up to 350 meters above sea level. This special location produces wines with exceptional freshness, elegance and expressiveness.
After a devastating bush fire in 2000, the area was replanted with great care – today the estate grows grape varieties such as Syrah, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The focus is on sustainable and natural cultivation of the vineyards in order to develop the full potential of the terroir.

The wines of Beau Constantia are the result of meticulous craftsmanship and an uncompromising quality philosophy. Each vintage is produced in small quantities and reflects the unique interplay of climate, soil and winemaking skills. The iconic cuvées bear names such as Lucca, Cecily or Pas de Nom and impress with their depth, structure and elegance.
The proximity to the ocean provides cool breezes, which ensure a long ripening period for the grapes, especially in the hot summer months – ideal for fresh acidity and complex aromas. The red wines are mainly matured in French oak barrels, whereby care is always taken to keep the fruit in the foreground.
