Inverroche Gin Classic is infused with fynbos from the chalky soils of the lowlands of the Cape Floral Kingdom, crisp and dry with green, grassy juniper notes that blend seamlessly with a bouquet of fragrant flowers on the nose. Also smells of citrus fruits and rose petals. Clean and dry with a spicy finish. A very nice gin in attractive gift packaging.

Still Bay

Still Bay lies along South Africa’s south‑western coast, known for its stunning beaches, coastal fynbos, and mild maritime climate. Warm summers tempered by cool sea breezes and moderate winters create ideal conditions for small-scale agriculture and artisanal beverage production. While not a major wine region, the area supports boutique producers exploring fresh, terroir-driven wines that reflect the coastal environment and South Africa’s rich varietal diversity.

A standout in Still Bay’s craft beverage scene is Inverroche Distillery. Drawing inspiration from the surrounding fynbos and coastal landscape, Inverroche has become a leading artisanal gin producer. Its small-batch gins are crafted using indigenous botanicals, capturing the aromatic complexity and natural freshness of the region.

Experience Still Bay through its boutique wines and the distinctive gins of Inverroche — each bottle reflecting the creativity, elegance, and coastal charm of this unique region.

Inverroche

Lorna Scott founded Inverroche in 2011. The distillery is located very close to Still Bay on the Indian Ocean. The soil and rocks consist mainly of limestone. The area in Karoo has a long history: Art objects and tools dating back some 73,000 years have been found in caves.

The flora in this area is breathtaking. There are over 10,000 different plant and tree species. The raw materials for the excellent gin from the Inverroche distillery are extracted from these. The raw materials for the incomparable rums come from KwaZulu-Natal.

Production is carried out by hand by a very small team. Plants (parts of plants) are soaked in spirit for several months. This extracts the natural aromas. The tinctures are combined with dried and fresh plants. The spirit is then refined and refined in several distillation processes. The entire production process takes almost a year before the bottles are filled, labeled, numbered and packaged.
