Very fine, long-lasting bubbles in the glass. Fresh citrus and lime on the nose with delicate hints of white fruit, while the palate has refreshing notes of white peach and Granny Smith apples. The wine has a mineral finish with a fine acidity.

Franschhoek
Together with the districts of Cape Town, Darling, Paarl, Stellenbosch, Swartland, Tulbagh and Wellington, Franschhoek belongs to the South African wine region of Coastal Region. The name is Afrikaans and means “French corner” and dates back to 1688. At that time, around 200 Frenchmen settled in this valley.
The district, which is around 60 km from Cape Town, is one of the most important wine-growing regions in South Africa. Excellent Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Pinotage and Cabernet Sauvignon are produced here.

At Savinis you will find the best producers from the Franschhoek region such as Boschendal or Haute Cabrière / Pierre Jourdan. The Haute Cabrière wine estate can look back on a long wine-growing history. In 1694, the land, which is located on the banks of the Franschhoek River, was handed over to the Huguenot Pierre Jourdan.

Le Lude
Le Lude is located in the cool Franschhoek Valley and is one of South Africa’s leading producers of high-quality sparkling wines made using traditional bottle fermentation. The historic estate was originally founded in the late 17th century and today combines French wine tradition with South African terroir.
The winery is fully dedicated to the production of Cap Classique – sparkling wines produced according to the Méthode Traditionnelle. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir form the heart of the production. The cool climatic conditions and the pronounced day-night temperature differences ensure fresh acidity, elegance and a fine aroma, which are essential for high-quality sparkling wines.

Le Lude is run by a French-South African team that attaches great importance to precision, patience and quality craftsmanship. Long yeast storage, careful hand harvesting and minimal intervention in the cellar guarantee complex, finely sparkling and balanced sparkling wines with depth and structure.
Le Lude’s Cap Classique wines enjoy an excellent international reputation and are synonymous with style, finesse and consistency. They are the expression of a successful combination of tradition, terroir and modern South African wine culture.
