Deep, intense ruby red with magenta reflections. The nose reveals opulent aromas of plum, cassis and fine chocolate. On the palate, the wine presents itself with velvety, supple tannins and concentrated notes of blackcurrant, stewed plum and mulberry, complemented by hints of chocolate and subtle toasted oak.

Robertson
Together with the districts of Breedekloof and Worcester, Robertson belongs to the South African wine region of Breede River Valley. The district, which is about a two-hour drive from Cape Town, is known as the valley of roses and vines.
The area has a dry and warm climate with minimal rainfall (300 to 400 mm per m² per year). However, the Breede River provides a cooler climate at night. The soil is mostly calcareous. These conditions are ideal for growing Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon or Shiraz.

At Savinis you will find the best producers from the Robertson district, such as De Wetshof.

Mimosa
The Mimosa winery is located in the picturesque Robertson Valley, nestled at the foot of the majestic Langeberg Mountains. It is run by the Swiss Bernhard Hess and his partner. Originally known as a renowned lodge, the business has developed into an impressive boutique winery. Bernhard Hess, who is also a talented chef, seamlessly combines his culinary expertise with the art of winemaking.
The vines thrive on the region’s famous chalky soils, which give the wines a special structure and finesse. Mimosa focuses strictly on quality rather than quantity and vinifies predominantly red grape varieties such as Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon as well as selected white wines in the artisanal tradition.

In addition, the winery pursues a philosophy of minimal intervention in order to preserve the natural character of the grapes unadulterated. The close symbiosis between the estate’s own wines and the award-winning cuisine at Mimosa Lodge makes the winery a unique destination for connoisseurs.
