This deep ruby red Pinotage has a complex bouquet of red berries, cherry and plum, underpinned with pure Pinotage fruit. These red fruit flavors continue on the palate, supported by good tannin concentration and well-integrated oak that lends subtle wood spices that complement the fruit.

Tulbagh

Together with the districts of Cape Town, Darling, Franschhoek, Paarl, Stellenbosch, Swartland and Wellington, Tulbagh belongs to South Africa’s Coastal Region wine region.

The district, which is about 120 km from Cape Town, lies in a mountainous landscape. This causes different mesoclimates and the temperatures vary greatly between day and night. The rainfall per m² per year is around 550 mm.

At Savinis you will find the best producers from the Tulbagh area such as Rijk’s, Saronsberg and Waverley Hills. Saronsberg was founded in 2002 by Nick van Huysteen in this district. A visit to the winery is highly recommended. The beautiful vineyard in the artistic landscape convinces with excellent wines.
