Pale pink, the bouquet is fresh with fruity aromas of raspberry jelly, wild strawberry sorbet, red apple skin and toasted brioche. On the palate, it has a fine mousse that highlights the raspberry flavors, is balanced with a creamy texture and a long, dry finish.

Constantia
The Constantia wine region is the oldest wine-growing region in South Africa and is located just 15 kilometers south of Cape Town, on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. The cool, maritime climate – influenced by its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean – and well-drained granite soils create ideal conditions for elegant wines rich in finesse. In particular, the fog that rises from False Bay in the morning and the fresh breeze in the afternoon ensure that the grapes ripen slowly and retain their natural acidity.
Constantia is world-famous for its fresh Sauvignon Blancs, but also for finely balanced Chardonnay and Bordeaux blends. A specialty of the region is the legendary Vin de Constance – a noble sweet dessert wine made from the Muscat de Frontignan grape, which was supplied to European royalty as early as the 18th century and is now an internationally recognized prestige product.

At Savinis you will find outstanding wine estates from Constantia such as Klein Constantia, Buitenverwachting or Groot Constantia – the oldest wine estate in South Africa with over 330 years of history. The wines from this region combine history, elegance and modern winemaking at the highest level.

Steenberg
The Steenberg wine estate lies at the foot of Table Mountain and is the oldest documented wine farm in South Africa. Even before the first manor house was built in Constantia, the wine estate was mentioned in a document in 1682.
The farm covers around 203 hectares, of which 70 hectares are vineyards. It is located very close to the coast and not far from Cape Town. The elegant sparkling and white wines thrive particularly well in this rather cool climate. Weathered granite, an important component of the soil, brings a very typical minerality to the fruity wines. The sparkling wines in particular benefit from this and are undoubtedly among the best in the entire Cape region.

Following extensive renovation in 1990, the manor house, which dates back to 1740, and the entire residential complex were renovated alongside the vineyards. Today, Steenberg is a flagship wine estate with a restaurant and hotel. At Savinis you will find the two sparkling wines Chardonnay Brut MCC and Pinot Noir Rosé Brut MCC.
