Clos Malverne

The Clos Malverne wine estate is located in the Stellenbosch region, where the best-known wines from South Africa come from. Tradition is very important at this winery, both in terms of the production of top wines and in terms of the history of the winery: Seymour and Sophia Pritschard have been producing exclusive wines at the winery since the mid-1980s – and their daughter Belinda is now also involved in the family business, including the expansion of the winery. In addition to wine tastings, a visit to Clos Malverne also includes an exclusive restaurant and a spa area.

Tradition is also at the heart of wine production: the aim is to produce elegant wines in a natural process, mostly by hand. The aim is to intervene as little as possible. The traditional basket presses, for example, are a special feature for the most natural production method possible. Over the years, the wines from Clos Malverne have established themselves in the top segment: The Auret – Clos Malverne’s flagship – was the first Cape blend to be awarded 5 stars in the John Platter Wine Guide in 1998. The wines of Clos Malverne generally offer a successful price/enjoyment ratio – characterized by a very good balance, great drinking pleasure and enjoyment.
