KWV
KWV (Koöperatieve Wijnbouwers Vereniging van Zuid-Afrika) was founded in Paarl in 1918 and is now one of the best-known and most traditional producers in South Africa. What began as a cooperative association of South African winegrowers has developed over the decades into an international company with a diverse portfolio of wines, sparkling wines, liqueurs and spirits.
KWV’s premium brandies in particular, such as the KWV 10 Year Old Brandy or the multi-award-winning KWV 20 Year Old, are regarded as prime examples of South African distilling skills. Made from carefully selected wines and matured for years in small oak barrels, they impress with their depth, elegance and harmonious, long finish.
KWV’s distillery in Paarl is one of the most modern in the country. At the same time, production remains deeply rooted in South Africa’s winemaking history. KWV attaches great importance to quality, sustainability and the combination of old craftsmanship with contemporary techniques.
