Oldenburg Vineyards is located in the picturesque Banghoek Valley, not far from Stellenbosch, nestled between majestic mountains. The unique combination of altitude, cool breezes, diverse soils and plenty of sunshine creates a microclimate here that is one of the best in South Africa.
The family-run winery pursues a clear quality standard: it produces elegant wines with a strong character that authentically reflect the terroir. There is a particular focus on single-varietal wines – such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot or Chardonnay – that impress with their precision, depth and balance.
In the cellar, Oldenburg relies on gentle processing, careful barrel ageing and a deep understanding of the balance between strength and finesse. Winemaker Nic van Aarde combines craftsmanship with a spirit of innovation and has made Oldenburg one of South Africa’s up-and-coming premium producers.
