Ormonde
The Ormonde wine estate is located in the Darling wine-growing region on the west coast of South Africa. It is situated on old granite soil in the Darling Hills and is supplied with moisture and coolness from the Atlantic Ocean.
In 1970, Nico Basson bought the 3,100 hectares of land and founded a dairy farm on it. But with hard work, vision and great perseverance, he started growing vines. Today, the total vineyard area is around 314 hectares.
The Basson family puts its heart and soul into the production of top wines. The wines impress with their story of passion, commitment, heritage and attention to detail.
