A special festive meal is as much a part of Christmas as the Christmas tree and presents. What will be on your plate this year? Whether it’s fondue chinoise, duck breast or fondue: the right drop of wine should do justice to the festive splendor. The spotlight is on fresh sparkling wines and fine, rich red wines.

Aromatic white wine as a prelude

Our two full-bodied white wines are perfect for a starter with seafood or poultry. The Rijk’s Chenin Blanc Reserve was matured for 14 months in barriques, its beautiful yellow color shows maturity and has an intense aroma. The Quoin Rock Chardonnay is mineral, complex and delicately fruity. Have you decided on a fondue for a festive meal? Then these two white wines are very suitable as accompaniments to the meal, they also complement a main course with fish or seafood perfectly.

Sumptuous and red: the classic Christmas dinner

A dark, mature red wine goes well with a delicious roast or a classic Christmas goose. Our red festive wines are legendary and meet the highest standards: for example, the Meerlust Rubicon, an elegant Bordeaux blend with ripe, spicy aromas. The Rijk’s Pinotage Reserve is one of the best Pinotages in South Africa – balanced on the palate with a wonderful interplay of aromas. The Restless River Cabernet Sauvignon is incomparable in its finesse. This top wine is something for true Cabernet Sauvignon wine lovers – a specialty of which only a few bottles are available. Then there are the two red wines from the De Toren wine estate in Stellenbosch: De Toren Z has a high Merlot content and impresses with its intense berry aromas. A wine with potential! De Toren Fusion V is a classic Bordeaux blend with all five grape varieties. A wonderful wine, but see for yourself.
